Here is an example. You have six Sphynx cats, split equally between male and female. Here are the characteristics:

• Female #1 often gets sick.
• Female #2 has a gentle demeanor and nice personality.
• Female #3 is docile but prone to extensive health issues.
• Male #1 is the tallest but has aggression issues.
• Male #2 is the largest and has bred before.
• Male #3 is often mean but is always healthy.

Based on these characteristics, you might choose to breed together Female #2 and Male #3 for the best litter of kittens.

Choosing the traits that you want will ensure that you have healthier kittens.

Are Sphynx Cats Unethical

Owning and breeding Sphynx cats is not unethical. 

Since Sphynx cats seem like such a rare cat to most people, some may wrongly assume that it is unethical to breed and own a Sphynx cat.

There is nothing wrong with either of those things.

Breeding Sphynx cats is how the breed does not die out and become extinct. 

If there were no new Sphynx cats being born, even if they are being sold for a high price, the breed would not be around anymore.
